# How it works

> From a producer's experience to a fan's vote, on air and back to you as data.

1. **A producer creates an experience:** the widgets for one match or show, each scheduled or opened on cue. See [For producers](/producers.md).
2. **Your app reads the live widgets** from the Dizplai API and draws them natively, in your design.
3. **A fan takes part,** signed in with your login. Your app sends the vote with the fan's token. See [Fan identity](/fan-identity.md).
4. **Results update live,** every second, in your app. See [Live updates](/live-updates.md).
5. **The same results go on air** through Dizplai's on-air graphics.
6. **Data comes back to you:** reports, link and QR scans, and exports. See [Your data](/your-data.md).
